Ms. Angela C. Johnson received her Master?s in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Argosy University. This degree allows Angela to work collaboratively with individuals and families to strengthen and facilitate personal and interpersonal functioning across their daily life span. Angela's areas of focus includes a variety of issues ranging from anxiety and depression arising from difficult life issues to more serious mental health problems. Life issues could include bereavement, career or personal changes, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, the aftereffects of rape or sexual abuse, while mental health problems could include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD), Adjustment Disorder, and Anxiety or Mood Disorders.
Angela has worked and provided counseling services to at-risk teens, crisis support with women who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse, and with youth who are victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, or witnesses of violent crimes. Angela is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has extensive training in Trauma Focused Therapies which include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Trauma and Loss in Children (TLC). Angela provides individual, family, and group counseling.

How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The agency offers several therapists with different treatment modalities including Solution-Focused, Behavioral/Cognitive Behavioral, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing , Narrative Therapy,Play Therapy,and Psychodynamic Therapy.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
There are currently two locations.

The D.C. office is located one block from Farragut North Metro Station. Close to Capital Hill, Judicuary Square, Dupont Circle, Metro Center, and Gallery Place/Chinatown.
The Burtonsville, Maryland office is located in the Park 29 Office Condominiums. This location is easily accessible to Silver Spring, Columbia, Calverton/Beltsville, Laurel, Wheaton, Spencerville, Highway 95/495, U.S 29, MD 32, and ICC 200.
